Yale University is offering a FREE (yes free) online class about the Science of Wellbeing.
I was immediately skeptical but upon further research have concluded:
1) It's real and will be informative and
2) I'm obsessed with online tests.
I've signed up for the course and have taken the "rewirement" assessments (also all free) that have included a baseline Happiness Assessment, Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment (or PERMA™) Assessment, and a Character Strengths Profile Assessment (with recommendations on things to try this week to see if it increases my happiness).
Details on the course are in the article and a direct link to the Coursera class can be found here: https://www.coursera.org/learn/the-science-of-well-being/home/welcome
So far I am enjoying the little workshops like the Gratitude and Savoring Journals
Thank you for sharing this class, I have registered and am very excited to take this course. I took the Authentic Happiness Inventory with a score of 2.42. My top 5 character strengths are Bravery, Love of learning, Curiosity, Fairness and Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence.
Cannot wait to go through this course, thanks for sharing
I took my Week 1 assessments this morning. Baseline Happiness on a scale of 1-5 is a 3.5 (not too surprised there). PERMA results seemed about average. But the most insight I received was my top Character Strengths (I'm obsessed with StrengthsFinders so no real surprise there). My top 5 are: Creativity, Humor, Love, Hope & Zest.
